Going out in Barcelona
Bars and clubs
Barcelona, the city of clubs and bars! It is not possible for me to mention
all of them, because first of all I was not able to experience this huge
amount of bars and clubs and secondly would this go beyond the scope of
this website. Here you can find a selection of my favourite clubs and
bars in different parts of the city.
Ciutat Vella
Buda Bar
This is one of Barcelonas’ most popular bars and restaurants and
it is important to be well-dressed. In addition, there are different theme
nights every day of the week. You will immediately find out that buda
bar is very popular as it is busy every day of the week.

El Bosc de les Fades (which can be translated
as : fairy tale forrest)
Unique bar, decorated as forrest full of fairy tale figures like dwarfs,
mermaids, waterfalls, etc. The bar belongs to the wax museum (Museo de
Cera). You can chill and have a drink and a conversation in the small
cosy niches. The audience is mixed and the prices normal.

La Oveja Negra
The “black sheep” bar is designed like a classic beer hall.
It is a favourite bar for students, so the atmosphere is noisy, young
and friendly and the drinks are great value. Young people order jugs of
cheap sangria, play pool at a beer-stained pool table and just meet and
chat with friends. There will almost certainly be a queue at the foodball
table, so that's not a bad place to start.
Address: Sitges 5
Subway: Catalunya (L1; L3)
El Born
Princesa 23
A nice and cosy bar, ideal to meet people from all over the world. Drinks
are cheap, especially during the daily happy hour. You can get cocktails
from 3 € !!

La Bolsa means stock exchange, and this is exactly how it works in this
bar if you want to buy a drink. The prices of the various drinks depend
on the demand. Therefore it is possible to get a drink for a good price,
if the demand happens to be low. On the other hand, when the demand is
high, it is also likely to pay quite high prices for a drink. The music
varies.

Inside the Elephant club you feel like in “Thousand and One Nights”.
The nice garden is decorated and equipped with furniture in colonial style,
arabic influences mixed with hinduistic and thai elements round off the
oriental ambiance. The club is named after the big bronze elephants in
the garden. All in all is it a very chic and exclusive club, which you
can notice at the slightly higher prices, compared to other clubs. Nevertheless
